The Dekalb Arts Academy Media Center utilizes a flexible/fixed scheduling model to support curriculum goals and foster student achievement. The accessibility encourages collaborative planning for whole classes, small groups, and individual students at the point of need. Educational technology is incorporated into the learning/research process. The media center has sixteen computers with Internet access, over 10,000 books, and several ebooks and databases available for students and teachers.

The Library Media Program's mission at Dekalb Arts Academy is to enable students to become effective users of ideas and information, life-long readers, and life-long learners with an appreciation for the Arts.
Volunteer Opportunities
The Dekalb Arts Academy Media Center welcomes volunteers. Parent volunteers are needed to help re-shelve books, process new books, mend worn books, check in returned books, or assist with any other special projects that may be taking place. An hour or two a week is greatly appreciated. Drop-ins are also welcome.
